late delivery, failure to provide promised $150 coupon for future purchase to avoid paypal dispute

This was the worst experience I have ever encountered from any flower delivery sevice. On 8/2/14, I ordered and paid extra for a same day delivery of a bouquet for a family member's 70th brithday. The amount of my purchase was nearly $100 for a large bouquet and the delivery fee.

On 8/2 and 8/3, I left several messages via voicemail with this company (because I could never reach a live person during the day or evening) to confirm the delivery. However, I never received a response. In fact, to date I have never received a reply to my messages via phone or email.

Unfortunately, I had to reach out to the intended recipient of the flowers to confirm the delivery. She advised me that they did not arrive on the day I arranged for the delivery (8/2- her birthday). Instead, they arrived on 8/4-- 2 days later! Again, with no explanation or apology from this company.

Instead, I received a pro forma email on 8/8-- 5 days later--thanking me for my purchase with an offer for a $30 rebate on my next purchase. Still... no advisement or acknowledgment of the late delivery.

On 8/13, I managed to get a representative on the phone and I advised him that I would be filing a dispute with paypal. I subsequently filed that dispute to recoup the funds I paid for same day delivery on the same day. Ironically, I received a call from this company on that very day. The representative was very apologetic and assured me that I would receive a coupon worth a value of $150 for my next purchase via email. She advised me that I would receive the coupon that evening (8/13) and no later than the following day (8/14). Not surprisingly, I have not yet received any such coupon.

I am owed something from this company... even if it is merely a refund of the amount I paid for same day delivery. The service (or lack thereof) has been shameful to say the least. I will be sure to tell everyone I know and the public via social media to avoid this service!!!!
